Machining - Hansen's Machine repair Shop is serviced by cranes up to 20 tons in capacity and has various grinding, drilling, welding and painting faciliteis available. Machine work can be done on-site or dismantled and brought back to our shop for repair.
Metalization - Our shop is also fully equipped to build up worn shafting, impeller castings and other problems, and to machine them to their original dimensions or to new requirements designed by our customer.
Babitt Pouring - We have the capability of centrifugaly pouring or spraying babbitt, in castings as large as 4,000 pounds, for worn or damaged bearings, for both marine and commercial applications.

Fabrication

The fabrication shop at Hansen features a complete line of equipment for welding, grinding, burning, shipping, caulking and riveting, as well as the capability to forge-to-shape pipe and stiffeners on a table. Other machinery includes an apron brake that can flange steel up to 3/4-inch thick by 12 feet in length and equipment that permits rolling plate steel to more than one-inch thick.

Our personnel are skilled in the fabrication of steel tanks for the petroleum and chemical industries. We can roll steel 1-1/4 inches thick by 24 feet long. The firm also performs boiler work for utilities, industries, schools and churches. Skilled boilermakers manufacture tube replacements and repair many types of heat exchanging installations:

• On-site field erection and crane services
• ASME Code fabrication

Boilers/Heat Exchangers

Hansen can build, rebuilld, clean or repair all types, designs and sizes of heat exchangers on-site or in-shop. All work is done to R-Stamp and U-Stamp standards that assure trouble-free operation. Parts which are not available from manufacturers are to be fabricated to quickly restore the unit to service:

• Replace defective tubes
• Fabricate complete tube nests and shells
• Complete cleaning of mineral deposits and bacteria
• Erect, rebuilld, or repair on-site or in-shop
